People seek psychotherapy when something from their past—a trauma, a pattern of behavior, a relationship—is interfering with their ability to function in their day-to-day life.
As a psychologist, I’ve been helping people for over 33 years overcome the obstacles from the past that interfere with living a joyous, full, meaningful, magnificent life.
Because of my training as a psychologist and the specialized training I’ve had in a variety of techniques, I have the tools to help my clients make big changes in a relatively short period of time.
That’s why I no longer do traditional therapy. In fact, I only work with short-term cases. If you are looking for long-term therapy and spending years figuring out your problems, I’m not the therapist for you. I will be happy to refer you to someone who practices traditional psychotherapy. You see, traditional psychotherapy is problem-focused. You talk with a therapist and analyze your problem. Sometimes that works to change it; sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes you just get to know your problem really well.
Instead, I work with clients who are highly motivated to make the necessary changes in their lives. I help them make those changes quickly by using solution-focused techniques and helping them let go of the negative emotions, limiting beliefs and ineffective patterns of behavior.
When you are—
- Tired of being unhappy
- Sick of being a slave to your emotionsÂ
- Worried about the impact stress is having on your lifeÂ
- Determined not to allow old patterns block you from having what you wantÂ
- Not willing to believe that this is as good as it getsÂ
- And when you are finally willing to invest your time, money and YOURSELF to move on–

“I wanted to let you know how successful “Time-line Therapy” was for me. I confess to having some reservations before we started because it seemed too simple. I had already invested in six months of therapy with another psychologist and although I felt I had made some progress with her, it was time consuming and at times very painful to have to delve into past issues. I had reached the point of not wanting to continue, yet when I tried to reduce my reliance on Zoloft I found I couldn’t do that successfully. Despite my progress I was still depressed. “Time-line Therapy” was totally effective. I no longer lie awake at night grinding my teeth over the things that made me angry, frustrated, fearful and sad. I am totally off Zoloft and have had no difficulty with the transition…. And best of all, I am happy! I haven’t been happy in years and it feels great. I wish I had known about this approach to therapy years ago. It would have saved me time, money and pain. If my experience would be helpful to others who are considering Time-line Therapy, feel free to share my story.” Nancy W. |
